The three official Sludgineers routes
Sludgineers is a small indie release from Snickerdoodle Games and Funk Games, and the developers keep distribution deliberately simple. There is no Epic release, no GOG release, no console version and no mobile version. If you find Sludgineers offered anywhere else, it is not an official channel.

Which one should you start with?
If you have five spare minutes and a browser, start with the itch.io build. It costs nothing, installs nothing and tells you immediately whether the central act of dragging a vacuum hose across a field of purple sludge is soothing or boring to you. People split hard on that, and no amount of reading will settle it for you.
If it clicks and you want a longer look, the Steam demo is the better second step. It is a proper build with the real HUD, the real upgrade tree and the real job-complete payout screen, just fenced off after a few regions. The demo carries a 94% positive rating from around 150 reviews, which is higher than the full game's current score — a normal pattern, since demos are self-selecting.

What you cannot get
- Consoles. There is no Nintendo Switch, PlayStation or Xbox version of Sludgineers, and the developers have not announced one.
- Mobile. No iOS or Android release exists. The itch.io browser build may load on a phone browser but it is not built or supported as a mobile game.
- A DRM-free purchase. The paid Sludgineers build is Steam-only.
- Physical. No boxed release.

Is Sludgineers on Game Pass?
No. Sludgineers is not on Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass or any subscription service. It is a paid Steam release at $6.99, with a free demo and a free itch.io browser build.
Is there a Sludgineers free trial?
Effectively yes, twice over. The Steam demo is free and still downloadable after launch, and the itch.io browser version is free to play with no install. Neither is time-limited; both are content-limited.
Does the Sludgineers demo save carry over to the full game?
The developers have not stated that demo saves transfer to the full release, and we have not been able to confirm it either way. Assume you will restart when you buy.
