Sludgineers Database: Upgrades, Tools, Regions and Achievements
Reference tables for Sludgineers: the upgrade tree branches, every tool from the vacuum hose to the air purifier, the regions and job types, the sludge and refined resources, and all 25 achievements. Individual items are listed here in batch rather than split across dozens of thin pages.

How this database is built
Sludgineers launched on 25 August 2026 into an almost empty information ecosystem — no wiki, no fan database, no published data mining. Everything on these pages is assembled from three sources, and each page says which apply to it:
- Official statements. The Steam store page, the developers' Steam news posts, the pinned Steam FAQ thread and the Funk Games press kit.
- Direct observation. In-game screenshots read carefully — node tooltips, quest cards, payout screens, HUD values and job progress tiers.
- Community reporting. Achievement completion data and review coverage, cited where used.

The two currencies you need to track
Before diving into any table here, understand the one structural fact that governs all of them: Sludgineers runs on two currencies, and every upgrade node demands both. Cash comes from cleaning; refined resources come from the refinery processing the raw sludge you haul home.
This is why the database is organised the way it is. Regions determine which pollution types you collect, resources covers what those refine into, and the upgrade tree is what consumes both. A player stuck with a large cash balance and nothing purchasable has a resource problem, not an income problem.
Why individual items are batched, not split
Every upgrade node, region and achievement in Sludgineers could technically be its own page. We deliberately do not do that. Nobody searches for an individual achievement name in a game with 25 non-missable achievements, and a wiki of a hundred near-empty stubs is worse for readers than five dense, sortable tables.
So the Sludgineers database batches: one page per system, with a full table inside it. If a specific item ever develops real search demand of its own — a genuinely confusing upgrade, a region people get stuck on — it earns its own page then, and not before.
Reading the confirmation labels
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Confirmed | Read directly from an official source or an in-game tooltip. Quote it freely. |
| Observed | Read off an in-game screenshot — accurate for what was on screen, but not necessarily a complete set. |
| Inferred | Derived from confirmed systems. The reasoning is sound; the specifics are not verified. |
| Compiling | Being gathered from live play. Deliberately blank rather than guessed. |
What is deliberately not in this database
There is no Sludgineers item-drop table, no enemy list and no build calculator, because Sludgineers has no items in the loot sense, no enemies and no character builds. It is a cleaning and refining game — the systems that exist are jobs, sludge types, refined resources, upgrade nodes, quests and tools, and those are exactly the five pages above.
There is likewise no cheats or trainers page. Sludgineers ships no cheat codes and has no mod support, so such a page could only catch searches rather than answer them. If official mod tools ever appear, we will add one. See updates and roadmap for what the developers have actually said is coming.
Those labels appear throughout the Sludgineers database. They exist because a game this new attracts confident-sounding invention, and we would rather tell you what we do not know.
Sludgineers FAQ
Is there a Sludgineers wiki?
This site is one. Sludgineers launched in August 2026 with no official wiki, so this independent database compiles the upgrade tree, tools, regions, resources and achievements from official statements and in-game observation.
How many upgrades does Sludgineers have?
The Sludgineers upgrade tree contains dozens of nodes across colour-coded branches, most with one to three ranks each. A complete enumeration is being compiled from play.
